1 OCT. 47 IMTFE WAR CRIMES TRIALS IN TOKYO: Kensuke Horinouchi, formerly in the Japanese diplomatic service, appears on the witness stand at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East in Tokyo, Japan, to testify in defense of Kiichiro Hiranuma, one of the 25 alleged major Japanese war criminals. Horinouchi was appointed diplomatic attaché on November 2, 1911, and remained in the diplomatic service until retiring in December, 1940.
